Making A Murderer Subject Brendan Dasseys Conviction Has Been Overturned

Finally we have a little bit of justice and sanity to celebrate.

A US judge has overturned the Brendan Dassey’s murder conviction nine years after he was found guilty of murdering Theresa Halbach,

When the Netflix show Making A Murderer was pretty much all anyone could talk about at the start of this year, people united on one belief, that Brendan Dassey was screwed over royally. Watching his interview made for uncomfortable, enraging viewing as the poor man was basically coerced into a confession.

Judge William Duffin concluded that investigators made false promises to Dassey as they repeatedly assured him he had nothing to worry about.

“These repeated false promises, when considered in conjunction with all relevant factors, most especially Dassey’s age, intellectual deficits, and the absence of a supportive adult, rendered Dassey’s confession involuntary under the Fifth and 14th Amendments.”

Dassey will be released in 90 days unless the state decides to retry him.

Brilliant news!
